Richard has extensive experience in trial and family courts across New Brunswick and has appeared before the Court of Appeal on various matters. He has also represented clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and at the United Nations, bringing a broad perspective to his legal practice.

 

Prior to entering the legal profession, Richard served from 1983 to 1989 in the French Foreign Legion, including service with a parachute regiment in Calvi, Corsica, and missions of assistance to Tchad and the Central African Republic. He later earned a degree in East Asian Studies from McGill University and a law degree from the University of New Brunswick, and was called to the New Brunswick Bar in 2003.
