Our Team

Matthew Heans

We’re proud to recognize Matthew Heans, a valued member of our legal team!

A local boy at heart, Matt has always been deeply committed to his community. During his time at UNB Saint John, he founded and served as president of the Debate Club, sat on the University Senate, and gave back through youth mentorship and literacy programs. Community and volunteerism are central to who he is.

Matt is also extremely well read and academically accomplished, having scored exceptionally high on his LSAT. He has now been accepted into UNB Law — a huge achievement and very well deserved.

In our office, he is steady, sharp, and dependable. He asks thoughtful questions, thinks critically, and carries himself with professionalism beyond his years.

We are proud of Matt, grateful to have him on our team, and excited to see him begin the next chapter at UNB Law.

Joseph Albert serves as our Office Manager and plays a key role in coordinating the firm’s daily operations. He is completing his final year at the University of New Brunswick, earning an undergraduate degree in history.

While at UNB, Joseph demonstrated strong campus leadership, serving as Council Chair of the UNBSRC (2023–2024) and as the 2025 Coordinator of the Lorenzo Society, an arts initiative at UNB Saint John that promotes creative programming and cultural engagement.

At the firm, Joseph manages files, oversees scheduling, supports client communication, and assists with marketing initiatives, helping keep the office organized and responsive, so clients are always looked after. In addition to bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to his work at the firm, Joseph operates a local moving company. He also has plans to pursue a future in executive home design and build.

Outside of work, Joseph shares his extraordinary musical talents at weddings and community events and through private lessons. His ability to make music with virtually any instrument that vibrates reflects both his skill and creativity.

We value the initiative, leadership, and consistency he brings to our team.
